REACH Mobile and Desktop App
REACH is a high-concept non-intrusive health app that uses the psychology of habit to remind its users to stretch. In 2013 86 percent of Americans who worked desk jobs sat an average of 13 hours a day. The risk of cancer and other diseases increases 40 percent for individuals who sit the majority of their day. I wanted to create an approachable, multiplatform app that would fit into anyone’s daily lifestyle to help curve these numbers. Exercising is hard, intimidating, and sometimes boring. REACH serves as the ‘bare minimum’ and a bridge to living a more healthy lifestyle. REACH helps users build habits, habits build confidence and with confidence, we gain happiness. REACH reminds us to be happy even if we can only make small changes in our life. This app helps us REACH for a happier healthier lifestyle.
Objective
To create an interactive cross-platform app that will motivate people to stretch.
Solution
The solution was to use ‘bare minimum’ thinking style to slowly build the confidence of the user.
